WHAT IS NEXT FOR TEXTING

Texting.  It’s amazing how most people can go an entire day without actual conversation.  Texting this and texting that. Some people text more than 50 texts a day.

So when the major ‘shout out’ came for everyone to TEXT a donation for Haiti relief, it was nice to see that thousands of people texted $10 or more to help out the victims of this major earthquake disaster… were you as amazed as I was?

I ask this because it’s amazing to think that people can text votes for American Idol, they can text their friends and family all day long;  people will text as a required work task; and it was so nice to see that people can text in the name of charity.

When I think about how in just 24-48 hours millions of dollars were donated to Haiti… I had to wonder, WHERE WERE ALL THE TEXTERS FOR KATRINA?  9/11?   Where were they?  Is it because the economy was so bad that not enough people had cell phones to actually text from?

And if this is the case, what does that say about our economy now? 

These are the questions randomly popping in my brain… perhaps I should text them!  LOL
